Carbon capture companies develop technologies that capture carbon dioxide from industrial sources or directly from the air, then store or use it. Buyers include industrial emitters, energy companies and organizations purchasing carbon removal. Vendors are listed A–Z with no scores or rankings; see our methodology for how vendors are included.

CCS captures CO2 from sources such as power plants or industrial facilities and transports it for permanent storage, typically in underground geological formations.
Direct air capture (DAC) removes CO2 directly from ambient air using chemical processes, after which it can be stored or used.
Point-source capture prevents new emissions from reaching the atmosphere, while carbon removal, such as DAC with storage, takes CO2 that is already in the air out of it.
Look at the capture method, how and where CO2 is stored, how storage is measured and verified, and the provider's project track record.
